Meritus Health is seeking a dynamic Residential Activities Specialist to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and loves designing engaging, age-appropriate activities that support mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and implement therapeutic group activities tailored to residents’ needs

• Collaborate with treatment teams to support residential goals

• Train Residential Care Associates on activity facilitation

• Maintain daily documentation and accurate records

• Assist with resident care when needed, including restraint and seclusion protocols

• Ensure supplies are stocked and schedules are up to date

• Attend team meetings and contribute to treatment planning

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy or related field (preferred)

• Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare activity planning

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to manage group dynamics and work independently

• Comfortable working with all age groups

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for Meritus vehicle use)

Physical Requirements:

• Active role: standing, walking, and engaging with residents

• Regular computer use and documentation

• Must be able to speak clearly and maintain punctual attendance

• On-site presence required
