We are looking for a Resident Site Manager to join our Care Chemicals team in Mauldin, SC.

As Site Manager, you will lead the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and quality functions at the Mauldin, SC site, while ensuring adherence to BASF policies and standards for safety, quality, environmental responsibility, and financial stewardship.
You will also serve as the primary liaison between the site, commercial organization, and key external stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and industry associations, to support business objectives, maintain the site’s license to operate, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Leading the Mauldin site to achieve excellence in EHS, manufacturing performance, quality, service, and customer delivery.
  • Driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost efficiency, asset utilization, and operational performance through best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Managing operational risks and ensuring compliance with EHS, regulatory, quality, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Developing and executing manufacturing, workforce, capital, and asset strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term site goals.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to ensure reliable customer supply, support growth initiatives, and lead site investment projects focused on infrastructure, utilities, and compliance.
  • Promoting operational discipline, successful technology transfers, and a high-performing culture that develops, empowers, and engages employees while reflecting BASF's Values.

If you…

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a science or engineering related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Bring 10+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, preferrably within chemical industry.
  • Possess progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, maintenance, project management, or related disciplines.
  • Possess a proven track record of driving EHS excellence, quality, operational performance, cost efficiency, and asset optimization.Have demonstrated success in building high-performing teams, leading organizational change, and fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Have experience translating technical, operational, and financial insights into effective business, workforce, and capital strategies.
  • Bring strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across commercial, business, and support functions.
