We are looking for passionate field experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal) to join our team dedicated to servicing our customers in Dawson Creek and surrounding area. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance and diagnostics of a variety of Caterpillar equipment, in a field environment.
• Wage: $61.91 / hr (base rate + regional wage allowance)
o $2.55 Field Premium
o Double Time OT
• Shift: 5 x 2 (Monday to Friday)

As a Resident Heavy Duty Mechanic, you possess a strong business acumen, are solution driven and motivated to exceed our customer's expectations.
What your day looks like:
Field diagnosis and running repairs of CAT General Line and Construction Equipment
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Large‑scale overhauls and rebuilds
Component replacements
Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal)
Valid Class 5 drivers’ license with successful drivers’ abstract
Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipment, 2+ years field experience, other dealer lines of equipment will be considered
Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and computer literate
Strong experience with: Service Information Systems, Electronic Technician and Salesforce
Ability to work safely with minimal supervision
Important Details:
Please be advised, the successful candidate will reside in the Dawson Creek / South Peace Region
This position will work a Monday to Friday day shift
Must be able and willing to travel to and from customer sites across our territory
Tooled company truck supplied, hotel & per diem or camp when applicable
A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
