Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible to support & troubleshoot VMware VCF Components (Vsphere, Vsan, NSX-T, SRM,
SDDC Manager, vRealize Operations, vRealize Automation, vRealize Log Insight & vRealize Network Insight), Hyper converged Infrastructure and Veeam
Responsible for Incident and Problem management including managing Major Incident and escalation as well as to provide RCA report
Provide technical responses to complex or major issues, and to handle escalation
Perform maintenance tasks, applying software patches and version upgrade
Provide continuous improvement plan for the Hyper Converged Infrastructure environment
Ability to handle small project and deployment
Responsible for Preventive Maintenance
To be able to perform in 24/7 environment
Requirement:
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
At least 4-5 years experience in the provision of high level support, maintenance and design for Virtual Platforms for hosted applications and services in VMware environment.
Minimum 4 years of experience administering VMware vSphere 6 environments using vCenter and vSphere clients
Minimum 4 years of experience using vSphere PowerCLI to perform tasks such as creating datastores, taking snapshots, creating VMs, health checks, etc
Required technical skills on VMware VCF components, Veeam, Microsoft Windows Server OS,
Hyper converged Infrastructure, Blade server, standalone server, iSCSI & San Storage
Good working knowledge and experiences with Enterprise Backup Solutions (Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, Networker and etc).
Good working knowledge in Data Deduplication, Virtual Tape Library & Replication.
Good working Knowledge of SAN Storage, RAID concepts and disk management tools.
Good working knowledge of networking, eg. TCP/IP and routing.
Technical skills on Active Directory would be advantageous.
Knowledge of ITIL framework or completion of the ITIL Foundation Certificate would be advantageous.
Any of the following certification will be a plus: VMware VCP6 and Veeam certifications
