All resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
This position requires technical knowledge of gas turbine maintenance/operation.
This is an "on-site" position, candidates are expected to work in the customer site which is located in Nuevo León.
Roles and Responsibilities
Resident Engineers are in charge of all technical aspects on the execution of the contract which include (not limited to):
Align with CPM all resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property.
Provide technical advisory and supervision to customer in routine maintenance activities.
Actively support the customer during preventive/corrective maintenance.
Support troubleshooting in case of trips/unplanned events
Manage inventory of spares to ensure compliance with contract guarantees.
Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge level is equivalent to a Bachelors degree.
Candidate must have background in Instrumentation and Controls and/or Electric and Excitation.
3+ years of experience in maintenance/operation of gas turbines.
3+ years of experience coordinating maintenance tasks in power plants.
Candidates must be proficient in Spanish and English.
Candidates must be able to work legally in Mexico.
Candidates must have valid driver's license.
Desired Characteristics
Flexibility to change work schedule (i.e. weekends, night shift) if required
Knowledge of MarkVIe control system.
Knowledge of EX2100 excitation system.
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
