Serves as an opportunity for religious professionals to develop competence in health care ministry and to provide pastoral care in assigned areas through day and night on-call rotation, and participation in self-directed and group learning process. Engages in a professional healthcare setting and aids in the preparation of the materials required for board certification. Incumbents completing a fellowship will train in a field of special interest, such as palliative care, ethics, caring for the marginalized, pediatrics, behavioral health, community engagement, leadership and trauma.
