
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Shift Coordinator
Grand Villa of Port Charlotte is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time LPN/Shift Coordinator to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursing operations during assigned shifts, ensuring quality care and compliance with all regulations
- Coordinate and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to care plans
- Monitor residents’ health status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies
- Document all care activities accurately and maintain detailed resident records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida
- Proven experience in a long-term care or assisted living setting preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home care
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to resident care
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
