Position Summary

We are seeking a strong clinical leader to oversee nursing operations on our long-term care unit. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, resident-centered care while supporting, coaching, and supervising nursing staff.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery
  • Coordinate daily unit operations, staffing assignments, and workflow
  • Ensure timely completion of treatments, medications, and physician orders
  • Monitor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to providers, leadership, and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement, infection control, and regulatory readiness
  • Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented care environment

Qualifications: License Requirement

Current, active, and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Massachusetts.

Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of long-term care practices, including care planning, resident assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other management information systems to collect, analyze, and report data
  • Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, leadership, and external stakeholders

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in gerontological nursing, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
