PineCrest, Lufkin’s premier continuing care retirement community, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Care Assistant to join our team.
Shift: 2 pm -10 pm
What You’ll Do
As a Resident Care Assistant, you will:
- Provide compassionate resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Assist with routine care needs while promoting dignity, comfort and independence
- Help residents adjust to changes related to illness and the normal aging process
- Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with residents
- Encourage participation in activities and help residents maintain their interests, abilities and independence
- Lead and coordinate engaging activities and programs
- Assist the care team with developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Bring patience, positivity and a genuine heart for serving older adults
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Two years of resident care experience preferred, ideally in a hospital, assisted living or long-term care setting
- Working knowledge of basic resident care procedures
- Basic computer skills
- A dependable team player who leads with kindness and professionalism
