What will you do?
In this position, you will join our growing Hong Kong Built Environment business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of Built Environment projects such as schools, data centres, casinos and a variety of Government projects.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Site Management & Coordination

    • Monitor labour resources, work progress, materials, and equipment used on-site.

    • Liaise and coordinate with contractors, utility companies, clients, and government departmentson site matters.

    • Resolve minor disputes/conflictsbetween various stakeholders, including contractors, utility companies, clients, and government departments.

  • Site Documentation & Compliance

    • Maintain site records, including site record books and submission of monthly returns.

    • Ensure that only approved materials and equipmentare delivered and installed on-site.

  • Technical Support & Quality Assurance

    • Assist in site measurementsof building services works and verify contractors’ payment claims.

    • Conduct site surveysof existing building services installations and submit proposals for additional, alteration, or repair works.

    • Inspect and witness testing and commissioningof building services installations.

    • Monitor progress of outstanding works and defects rectificationin building services.

  • Project Support & Documentation Review

    • Assist the Project Building Services Engineer in reviewing operation and maintenance manualsand as-fitted drawingssubmitted by contractors.

What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need:

  • Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university / polytechnic, the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or technical institute /technical college, or equivalent

  • Completed the below courses:

    • Construction Industry Safety Card Course (Green Card)

    • Occupation Safety and Health Management Course

    • Basic Accident Prevention Course

    • Certified Worker Training Course for Confined Spaces

  • Attained the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent.

    • Note: ‘Grade E’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to Level 2 in the 2007 HKCEE and thereafter.

  • For BSI applicants: at least seven (7) years post-qualification local experience in building services works

  • For ABSI applicants, having at least three (3) years relevant post-qualification local experience in site supervision of building services installation and maintenance works.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with high proficiency in computer usage.

  • Excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, project planning/project management skills;.

  • Diligent, proactive and equipped with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
