Job Title: Factory Resetting & Channel Lead

Reports to: Channel Group Manager

Role Type: Team Handling

Location: Bavla, Ahmedabad (Situated 30-35KM on Rajkot high from Ahmedabad)

Purpose of the Role:

To lead and drive end-to-end channel performance by integrating resetting excellence & lean manufacturing, ensuring optimised utilisation of people, machines, materials, and processes to deliver superior results.

The role is accountable for enabling high-mix flexible production, improving changeover efficiency, throughput, and cost competitiveness, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and Industry 4.0–driven smart manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end channel performance across multiple manufacturing lines ensuring alignment with major KPI’s
  • Own overall business performance of assigned channels including throughput, cost, quality, and delivery reliability
  • Lead shift operations, production planning execution, and manpower deployment across channels
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules
  • Monitor and improve OEE across all machines and processes
  • Lead resetting and changeover excellence by improving reset-per-hour efficiency
  • Deploy SMED to minimize setup and changeover losses
  • Standardize resetting and presetting practices across all channels
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct structured loss analysis and problem solving using RCA and 5 Why
  • Implement value stream optimization and line balancing
  • Drive Daily Management Systems and reviews
  • Ensure machine reliability through TPM
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance practices
  • Monitor machine condition and reduce breakdown losses
  • Improve asset utilization and operational availability
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives including tooling and manpower efficiency
  • Improve SLR and overall production efficiency
  • Lead productivity improvement and automation projects
  • Enable Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing practices
  • Lead cross-functional teams across channels
  • Drive skill matrix development and multi-skilling
  • Provide coaching and training for teams
  • Build ownership culture and develop future leaders
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and audit compliance
  • Drive zero defect, zero breakdown and zero accident culture
  • Implement layered process audits and quality at source
  • Ensure EHS compliance

Competencies

  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Resetting Excellence (SMED)
  • Strong multi-channel operations management and value stream optimization capability
  • Proven problem-solving and execution excellence using RCA, A3, and structured methodologies
  • Strong people leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of Hard Turning, Grinding & Super Finishing Operations is must

Graduate mechanical engineer with 8 to 15 years of experience, from Engineering/ Automotive industry.
