PLANNING:
● Recommends programs and budgetary/ resource requirements for the implementation of reservoir evaluation activities, in coordination with concerned groups.
IMPLEMENTATION:
● Participates in the diagnosis/technical analysis of operational needs and concerns of clients to enable provision of appropriate technical solutions.
● Conducts reserve estimation and resource assessment studies to determine the energy potential of a geothermal resource in all phases of geothermal energy assessment and exploitation in all local and international fields of interest to the company.
● Conducts accurate well and reservoir evaluation and interpretation through industry standard methods such as modeling and well test analysis to determine well behavior and performance.
● Formulates detailed, cost effective, and appropriate technical solutions to optimize well and reservoir performance through the conduct of special research studies and application of appropriate methods.
● Leads the design of special well testing programs to measure specific well and reservoir properties.
● Endorses Terms of Reference (TOR) for 3rd party service providers to ensure conformance of service to the company's requirements.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT:
● Develops, implements, coordinates, and monitors the implementation of Quality standards relevant to Reservoir Engineering and Reservoir Modeling and Evaluation, including but not limited to standard operating systems, processes, procedures, methodologies, technologies, projects and/or program approvals.
● Collaborates with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts in the development of quality standards for new processes.
● Implements all HS&E, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Compliance policies that relate to areas of responsibility.
DOCUMENTS and DATA MANAGEMENT:
● Documents and implements procedures on the safekeeping, upload, retrieval, distribution and retention of documents relevant to the team's operations, including those, but not limited to Reservoir and Wellbore Modeling, Resource Assessment, Advance Well Testing.
● Coordinates with the IT group in the development, maintenance and enhancement of RE information management system.
● Coordinates with the IT group in the development of software applications and tools that are useful for an effective evaluation of well and reservoir engineering data, e.g. extraction and saving data to and from the database for reservoir and wellbore simulation and applications of data analytics to Reservoir Engineering.
● Updates the RE’s data and information dashboard to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and relevance to the achievement of the company's and group’s strategic requirements.
Policy Formulation / Process Design / Process Improvement:
● Develops and amends systems, processes and procedures within Reservoir Evaluation and Modelling to increase operational efficiency.
● Conducts research on specialized and emerging technologies and equipment for possible application to geothermal conditions in the Philippines or overseas sites.
● Conducts feasibility studies for new technologies and techniques which can be adopted for process and systems improvement.
● Performs applicable innovations in geosciences and reservoir engineering practices.
