Job Description

Overview

Your Next Great Stay Starts With You

At Town and Country Resort and Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa, reservations are more than dates and room types—they are the beginning of a guest's experience.

As a Reservations Sales Agent, you will help guests discover the right destination, accommodation, and experience for their stay. Whether someone is planning a San Diego getaway at Town and Country or escaping to the desert at Miramonte, you'll be the knowledgeable, friendly voice that turns an inquiry into a reservation.

If you enjoy talking with people, have a natural talent for sales, and know how to turn a simple question into an exciting stay, we'd love to meet you. The position is located in San Diego at the Town and Country Resort. #TowncountrySD

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Handle incoming reservations calls, emails, and booking inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Convert inquiries into reservations by understanding guest needs and recommending the best available accommodations and options.
  • Represent both Town and Country Resort in San Diego and Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Provide accurate information about room types, rates, packages, amenities, dining, recreation, and resort experiences.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities through room upgrades, packages, special offers, and other resort offerings.
  • Create, modify, and cancel reservations accurately in the hotel's reservation system.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand the purpose of each guest's visit and personalize recommendations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of rates, availability, promotions, resort policies, and special offers.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Catering, and other departments to ensure guest requests are communicated and fulfilled.
  • Handle guest questions and concerns with patience, professionalism, and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Meet or exceed established reservation, conversion, upselling, and quality standards.
  • Accurately document guest preferences, requests, and special arrangements.
  • Follow all applicable payment, reservation, cancellation, and data-security procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous hotel reservations, front desk, sales, call center, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of talking with people.
  • A confident, personable approach to sales—you know how to recommend without being pushy.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple reservations and requests accurately.
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning hotel reservation systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently while being a great team player.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

What Makes You Successful

You are a natural salesperson. You listen first, then make recommendations that make sense for the guest.

You are detail-oriented. A small reservation detail can make a big difference in a guest's stay.

You are curious. You want to know what brings the guest to the property and how you can make the experience better.

You are positive. Even when the phones are ringing and the hotel is busy, you keep your cool and your hospitality intact.

You know the difference between selling a room and selling an experience.

Two Resorts. One Great Opportunity.

This position gives you the opportunity to represent two distinctive California resort experiences:

Town and Country Resort — San DiegoA legendary San Diego resort in Mission Valley featuring 671 guest rooms, extensive meeting and event space, multiple dining experiences, and a vibrant resort atmosphere.

Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa — Indian WellsA relaxed desert retreat where guests come to unwind, recharge, enjoy the sunshine, and experience the best of the Coachella Valley.

Whether your guest is looking for a convention-friendly San Diego resort or a relaxing desert escape, you'll help them find the experience that fits.
