Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management

  • Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize room revenue and market share
    • Conduct ongoing market analysis, including competitor rate monitoring and demand pattern evaluation
    • Manage customer segmentation and implement targeted pricing strategies by segment
    • Prepare, analyze, and present detailed revenue forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to executive leadership
    • Ensure best practice revenue standards, including length of stay yield management, inventory availability by channel, and accurate rate loading

Inventory and Channel Management

  • Manage room inventory and pricing across all distribution channels including direct, OTAs, and GDS
    • Ensure optimal visibility, content accuracy, and pricing across all booking platforms
    • Monitor and resolve rate parity discrepancies in collaboration with OTA market managers
    • Optimize channel mix to balance cost of acquisition with revenue performance

Reservations Management

  • Train, mentor, and develop the reservations team to improve conversion, service quality, and revenue capture
    • Implement and refine processes to improve reservation accuracy, overbooking controls, and group booking management
    • Monitor reservation inventory, blocks, and allotments to ensure maximum profitability
    • Ensure the website booking engine remains accurate, functional, and aligned with revenue strategies
    • Assist in managing room authorizations, rates, and restrictions and communicate strategies clearly to each property
    • Oversee no show and cancellation management and ensure charges are processed in accordance with Banff Collection policy

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Front Office, and Operations teams to align revenue strategies with promotional and service initiatives
    • Review and approve group pricing proposed by the Sales team to ensure revenue optimization
    • Provide revenue management guidance and best practice support to Sales and Operations leaders

Systems and Process Management

  • Maintain and optimize all revenue and reservations systems, including PMS (stayNtouch), channel manager and booking engine (SiteMinder), and revenue management system (IDeaS G3)
    • Ensure accurate, timely data entry and system integrity across all platforms
    • Identify opportunities for system, reporting, and process improvements

Strategic Planning

  • Participate in the development of the annual sales plan and operating budget
    • Support long term revenue strategy and forecasting initiatives
