Job Description

Conveniently located amongst Sydney’s CBD, Darling Harbour, Darling Square and ICC precincts at Novotel Sydney Darling Square we are looking for a Reservations Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Reservations team. You will set high standards for our guest experience ensuring a memorable experiences from the first point of contact.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, coach and develop the Reservations team to deliver exceptional service and achieve performance targets.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Reservations department, ensuring all enquiries and bookings are handled accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify and create opportunities for increased revenue working to achieve key financial targets.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring all reservations in the PMS system are up to date and accurate.
  • Resolve guest concerns and booking issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • You are a natural leader and enjoy developing team members, and take pride in being involved in the operations when required.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of Opera cloud.
  • Keen eye for detail, enjoy creating and maintaining agreed standards and processes.
  • Good time management skills and will be a confident communicator both verbally and written.
  • You will thrive in a fast-paced working environment, and will be able to effectively manage complex and competing priorities.
  • You have a passion for exceptional guest experiences and are committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Ideally you will have previous experience as a Reservations Manager or Supervisor with sound leadership skills and are now seeking your next career step.
