We seek:
In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Physics / Experimental particle physics, we are looking for a researcher as soon as possible at the following conditions:
- 100% = 39,83 hours
- Pay grade 13 TV-L
- limited for 3 years
Your tasks:
- Your research activity will focus on the development of microstructured silicon detector for applications in high energy physics.
- Contributions are expected to the projects of the working group, in particular the construction of the silicon pixel detector for the Insight expeirment in the CmF Cluster of Excellence, the integration and commissioning of the ATLAS ITk Pixel Detector, and the design and development of concepts for future silicon pixel detectors
- Documentation of scientific results as well as publications
- Supervision of students for final theses and seminar papers
Your profile:
- University degree in physics
- PhD in high-energy physics completed with distinction
- Experience in the development and/or operation of silicon pixel or strip detectors
- Programming skills (C/C++, Python)
- Ability to work and communicate in a team
- Willingness to travel to a limited extent
- above average participation in scientific exchange (Conferences, reviews, research reports, etc.) and at least one publication in an international peer-reviewed journal.
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
- Very good English skills
