Job Description

& Responsibilities

Miller Lab is currently hiring for a Research Technician who will design, perform and analyze complex research experiments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing, interpreting, and communicating data to supervisor and co-workers.
  • Modifying protocols to improve processes.
  • Documenting work appropriately.
  • Troubleshooting problems in lab.
  • Collaborating, building constructive relationships, and effectively communicating with other members of the lab.
  • Working independently, but seeking assistance when needed.
  • Operating highly specialized equipment requiring moderate to high degree of skill.
  • Expected to perform more advanced techniques after appropriate training.
  • May provide guidance to research staff, graduate students, and post docs.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates are required to have Bachelor’s degree typically in one of the biological sciences and/or equivalent years of relevant laboratory experience. Should be familiar with basic biochemistry or molecular biology lab techniques. Ability to work well with others is essential. Must have effective communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Must have the ability to carefully follow written and verbal instructions, be highly motivated, conscientious, and highly dependable.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous laboratory experience.

Work Hours

Typically, Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
