We are looking for a passionate Research Team Manager You will be responsible for leading our multidisciplinary Circuit Breaker research team in Baden-Dättwil (Switzerland), part of the Central European Hitachi Energy Research Center.

Build capabilities and succession within the team: plan capacity, people and resources; coach, mentor and develop engineers; maintain the team as a center of excellence for interrupter technology

Foster the creation of new research project proposals and strategic research initiatives
Contribute to an innovative and motivating working environment
You foster collaboration:
Maintain and extend an excellent network to relevant business units and leading universities
Promote collaboration between all Hitachi Energy Research Centers
You contribute:
Contribute to research projects and pre-studies with your own scientific expertise
Participate in test campaigns, covering electrical emergency first aider role (Training will be provided)
Oversee different research laboratories, including safety
Your background
PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Technical expertise in following areas: circuit breaker, high power testing, plasma physics, and an interest in emerging research and technology fields
Several years of experience and proven track record in industrial R&D, with relevant people leadership experience
Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is an advantage
