
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field in hand by hire date. Full-time experience with experimental procedures and data analysis in biology-related fields (outside of classes).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with microbiology research handling bacterial cultures with aseptic technique. Experience with animal handling. Experience with molecular biology techniques. Experience with in vitro tissue culture infection models.
Brief Description of Duties:
Within defined test or analytical protocols, operate equipment, carry out test procedures, as well as collate and interpret data using special methods in support of a research project or program for Dr. Hwan Kim in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
