As a Research Student, you will work closely with research personnel and actively participate in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. During this experience, you will gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research.

Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision, student may conduct research in the laboratories and/or clinical setting
  • Under direct supervision, student may perform data collection and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student.
  • This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for an undergraduate degree/diploma.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • NA

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • None required.
  • Students with previous research laboratory experience are often preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal physical requirements include good near visual acuity and color acuity.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
