Job Description

Role type: Full-time; Fixed term (10 months)

Department: Melbourne Research and Enterprise, Chancellery

Salary: UOM 7 - $111,275 - $120,453 p.a. plus 17% super

Your next career opportunity:

You will coordinate strategic research impact projects that support the University’s Advancing Research 2030 ambitions.

You will gain high-level exposure through preparing briefs, reports and committee support for senior University leaders.

What you will deliver:

  • Prepare clear, concise research, analysis, reports, correspondence, briefings and presentations for senior University leaders.
  • Coordinate and administer research impact projects, including frameworks, ecosystem mapping, forums and related strategic initiatives.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of the Lens of Discovery Photography Competition and the Reel Impact Prize.
  • Maintain and update research impact content across digital platforms, including the Research Hub and Research Gateway.
  • Provide high-quality secretariat support for key committees and working groups, ensuring actions and deadlines are met.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Hold a degree-level qualification and bring relevant experience in project coordination or policy-focused environments.
  • Demonstrate strong written communication skills, producing clear, concise reports, briefings and presentations for senior audiences.
  • Exhibit proven project coordination capability, managing timelines, documentation and delivery across multiple concurrent activities.
  • Conduct thorough desktop research, synthesising complex information into evidence-based advice and options.
  • Build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and collaborate across teams in large, complex organisations.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion while exercising sound judgement and practical problem-solving skills.
