Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.As an equal opportunity employer, AKU believes in promoting a diverse and inclusive culture and is committed to adopt appropriate standards for safeguarding and promoting a respectful relationship with and between diverse workforce of its faculty, staff, trainees, volunteers, beneficiaries, wider communities, and other stakeholders with whom it works, including children and vulnerable adults and expects all employees/trainees and partners to share this commitment.This a grant funded contractual position.Responsibilities Specific responsibilities will be to:Ensure proper identification and registration of patients as per study protocol;supervise and monitor domiciliary visits;monitor and report mortality and hospital surveillance;monitor and report on the disease surveillance from non-project facilities (private and public sectors, and NGOs);provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study;ensure the completeness, proper filings, and archiving of the CRFs;make surprise visits to household and field sites to check quality of data collected;preparation and compilation of study progress report;in collaboration with the Data Manager, prepare monthly project reports;present the study results as per the requirement;to develop high quality research proposals for funding agency; conduct research and contribute in publications.
RequirementsYou should have:MSc. In Epidemiology and Statistics / MPH / Master’s in HPM/ Master’s degree in Psychology/M.Sc. in Anthropology/M.A. Sociology or any other relevant field;preferably with additional certification and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices;3 to 5 years of relevant experience;experience in training teams in evaluation and interventions;willingness for frequent travel to remote locations for overseeing quality assurance of departmental research projects and training of local staff;highly organized and self-motivated;excellent interpersonal communication skills;proven mixed methods research skills;ability to work in teams;integrity and strong research ethics;excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;strong computer skills.Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
