Research Specialist, JLL Business Services (JBS)

Overview

JLL is seeking a full-time Research Specialist to join the US Strategy & Research team. This person will contribute to the Strategy & Research team by analyzing the US real estate markets and macro-economic data. They will assist the team’s forecast of market conditions, prepare presentation materials for internal and external clients, create and update market visualizations, perform data analysis that support real estate investment strategies, and support drafting of market notes on potential acquisitions. A demonstrated interest in economics, statistical analysis, or real estate is desired. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, and advanced skills in data manipulation and analysis.

Responsibilities

· Update, validate, and visualize macroeconomic (US & metro-level) trends, capital markets, and commercial real estate market data for various property and industry sectors.

· Prepare real estate market analyses for potential acquisitions, covering construction, vacancy, and rent growth trends.

· Maintain presentation graphics that synthesize economic and real estate data into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external stakeholders

· Proactively communicate with matrix manager and other colleagues in Strategy & Research on project updates, data quality, and analytical findings to support timely research delivery.

· Support US and global research initiatives, including contributions to white papers and Insights, Strategy and Analysis (ISA) publications.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

· Bachelor's degree in fields related to Finance, Statistics, Economics, Urban Planning, Geography, Real Estate etc with 5-7 years professional experience preferred.

• Organized, methodical and proactive, with strong ability to multitask, be resilient and effectively manage time, processes, and workload.

· Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate and interpret data.

· Advanced command of Microsoft office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

• Collaborative attitude and willingness to both work independently and as part of a dynamic matrixed organization.
• A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
