The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) is a research centre conducting fundamental and applied research in all aspects related to additive manufacturing. The Research Scientist is expected to help the principal investigator to carry out a research project on laser additive manufacturing in collaboration with an industrial partner.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the project with the defined milestones and deliverables.
Carry out hands-on experiments to meet deliverables and KPIs.
Write and prepare communications content and interface with the industry and funding agency.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor qualification degree in mechanical, materials or manufacturing engineering or related field
At least 8 years of relevant experience in engineering research / technical hands-on experience in additive manufacturing or related field
Proficiency in experimental skills in microstructural characterization, including metallograph and EBSD.
Proficiency in experimental skills in mechanical testing, such as hardness testing.
Demonstrated experience in laser directed energy deposition additive manufacturing.
Knowledge of the relationship between microstructures and mechanical properties of metallic materials.
Good written and oral communication skills
