About the job

Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and reporting for Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) studies. This includes working closely with pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics clients, among others in the development of project-specific methods and project deliverables. The person in this role will also contribute to face-to-face client meetings, teleconference calls, study design, reporting and publication strategies. RWE clinical study scope includes both prospective and retrospective site-based studies, pragmatic trials, decentralized trials, existing secondary data only studies as well as HEOR projects, including literature reviews, meta-analyses, and medical writing activities

What You'll Do:

  • Develop Real-World Evidence study protocols/analysis plans, clinical study reports, abstracts and manuscripts ensuring quality and completeness of client deliverables.
  • Lead the conduct of systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses
  • Lead studies involving health economics and outcomes research, including patient/provider perspective, patient reported outcomes measures (PROMs), and cost/benefit analyses
  • Lead studies utilizing existing secondary data sources (e.g., registries, medical claims, electronic healthcare records). Includes programming requirements, analysis and final reporting writing.
  • Interact with clients and team members to determine real-world evidence (RWE) or health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) needs, objectives, and project scope.
  • Participate in internal and client launch meetings to understand the project background, study requirements, timelines and deliverables.
  • Identify appropriate literature, data sources and tools for research to meet client needs.
  • Distill input from clients, clinicians, medical coders, existing data and published literature to assist in the overall study design.
  • Provide epidemiologic input into the statistical analysis plan and output required to meet study objectives.
  • Responsible for ongoing data review from an epidemiologic standpoint.
  • Prepare for and attend expert panels and advisory boards, assist in collection of information and elaboration of meeting reports.
  • Responsible for interpreting clinical outcomes research results and providing epidemiologic expertise in using the most appropriate statistical analysis methods for each study.
  • Work closely with a statistician in the analysis and reporting of clinical study results
  • Prioritize and manage time effectively to meet the needs of multiple clients.
  • Work within project budgets and complete high-quality deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Assist in developing proposals, including providing input into the scientific rationale, methodology, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with various CTI departments, based on project or study scope

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in working in outcomes research and/or epidemiology.
  • Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, health services research, pharmacy, nursing, natural science, biostatistics, or closely related discipline
