PART TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR
New York University Tandon School of Engineering
The Resilient Urban Networks Lab at the Center for Urban Science + Progress and the Department of Technology Management and Innovation at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part Time Research Scholarto work on understanding the impacts of AI on urban mobility and resilience.

Responsibilities
Candidates will be responsible for analyzing data and developing models to understand the impacts of AI on cities. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in data science, causal inference, and artificial intelligence, as exemplified by a strong publication record. Previous experience on handling, processing, and analyzing large datasets is necessary.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least a MS in urban data science or a related field and 2 years of experience. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
Salary range
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position hourly rate $26.37 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.
Expected start date and period of employment
Expected start date is: June 1, 2026. This position is expected to be for 3 months. Part time appointments would require a work schedule of approximately 10 hours per week. Extension beyond the initial appointment may be available subject to grant funding availability and performance.
