The Computational Medicine Laboratory at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Full time Research Scholarto work on exciting projects in signal processing, estimation, control and optimization for biomedical engineering applications,with Dr. Rose T. Faghih, Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering.

NYU Tandon Biomedical Engineering department leads multidisciplinary research in medical imaging and data analysis, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, synthetic and systems bioengineering, robotic and rehabilitation engineering, nano- and micro-bioengineering, neuro-engineering, and cell and immune bioengineering.
Expectations
Candidates will be responsible for
developing statistical signal processing, machine learning, and various mathematical algorithms for biomedical engineering applications
conducting human subject research including physiological health data collection
data analysis
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in mathematical algorithms for biomedical engineering applicationsas exemplified by a strong publication record, and will be driven, creative and team-oriented with excellent writing and programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or R Previous experience in human subjects research is a plus.
Salary range
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this full time position is expected to be $48,000 at 35 hours per week.
Expected start date and period of employment
Expected start date is February 2026 with a duration of 3 months, with possible additional extension up to 6 months.
Candidates should have at least a BS in electrical, biomedical, mechanical, computer, or aerospace engineering or mathematics or related field
Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
