Exemption Status:

NoUnder minimal supervision of an experienced Project Manager or designee, responsible for coordination of all aspects of research projects. Oversees day-to-day project activities such as subject recruitment, informed consent discussions, data collection and entry, and subject reimbursement processing and tracking.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates all research project-related activities, including recruitment, progress tracking and reporting, quality control, and research support staff training; oversees implementation of project plans.
  • Oversees development of study specific material such as tracking logs, templates, monitoring tools, study binders, process manuals, etc.
  • Submits request for data extracts and manages data collection, entry, and quality.
  • Tracks project related expenses and assists with monitoring study budgets, developing new study budgets and contract request submissions for noncomplex studies.
  • Prepares and submits IRB submissions of increasing complexity; reviews routine submissions prepared by Senior Research Assistants.
  • Handles sensitive project issues and provides resolution.
  • Ensures adherence to federal or other regulatory requirements.
  • Communicates resource needs, issues, project status and milestones to project team and project leader and devises corrective action plans.
  • Assists with preparation and submission of study manuscripts for publication, funding applications, and grant or sponsor-required reports.
  • Orientation, mentoring, and training of junior research staff.
