Job Description

Clinical Research Nurse / Registered Nurse – Phase I Clinical Trials

Prague | Clinical Research | Training Provided

Are you a registered or practical nurse interested in using your clinical skills in a different environment?

This is an opportunity to move into Phase I clinical research, supporting studies that help develop new medicines and treatments. You’ll work directly with study participants and a multidisciplinary clinical research team, using familiar nursing skills such as blood collection, ECGs, vital signs and safety monitoring.

Previous clinical research experience is not required. We can train you in the Phase I study procedures you’ll need to succeed in the role.

This role is a permanent, full time opportunity

What you'll do

As part of our clinical research team in Prague, you'll help ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants taking part in Phase I clinical studies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking and recording vital signs
  • Performing ECGs
  • Collecting blood samples
  • Supporting other study procedures and sample collections
  • Monitoring study participants and supporting their safety and wellbeing
  • Working closely with participants throughout inpatient and outpatient studies
  • Accurately following study protocols and clinical procedures
  • Collaborating with nurses, physicians and other clinical research colleagues

Who we're looking for

We'd particularly like to hear from registered nurses, practical nurses and other appropriately qualified healthcare professionals who are interested in developing a career in clinical research.

You'll need:

  • A recognised nursing or relevant healthcare qualification
  • Czech language skills of at least A2 level
  • Confidence interacting professionally and compassionately with patients/participants
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • An interest in learning clinical research and Phase I procedures

You do not need previous clinical trials experience — relevant training can be provided.

Why clinical research?

If you've worked in a hospital, clinic, outpatient setting or another patient-facing healthcare environment, many of the skills you've already developed can transfer directly into clinical research.

This role gives you the opportunity to apply those skills while gaining experience in Phase I clinical trials and medicines development.
