Job Description

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, or related fields Excellent communication and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Prefer candidate with experience in techno-economic analysis, cost benefit evaluation, and market studies.
  • Strong ability to bridge research and practical implementation.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.

  • Conduct research and experiments on polymer and composite materials, exploring their processing, characterization, and mechanical properties.
  • Utilize advanced techniques and equipment for material characterization, including mechanical testing and 3D modeling.
  • Develop and optimize processes for composite manufacturing, ensuring high-quality and efficient production.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers to integrate 3D modeling and simulation into product development.
  • Analyze and interpret data from experiments, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Prepare and present research findings through technical reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of polymer and composite research, attending conferences and workshops.
  • Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory environment.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Practical experience in polymer and composite processing, material characterization, and 3D modeling is essential.
  • Proficiency in using advanced analytical techniques and equipment for material testing is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and an understanding of mechanical properties.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work independently, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience in using relevant software.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and a track record of publishing research findings.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and development.
  • A valid work permit or eligibility to work in Malaysia is required for this position.
