We seek to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate / Research Fellow in Multi-Omics Data Science to work in the Snow Vision Accelerator at the University of Sydney, with a strong focus towards therapeutic discovery.
The Snow Vision Accelerator is an ambitious research and drug development initiative focused on transforming the treatment of glaucoma by uncovering the molecular mechanisms through which aging and associated metabolic dysfunction increase the vulnerability of the optic nerve to injury and neurodegeneration. The program integrates cutting-edge biology, data science, and translational drug discovery to identify, validate, and target age-related pathways underlying glaucomatous damage, and to develop drugs and new therapies that boost optic nerve resilience and prevent vision loss.
We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate / Research Fellow within the bioinformatics and pathway discovery platform to be at the forefront of establishing statistical and computational analytical capability for drug discovery-based research using multi-omics data analysis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a uniquely integrated research environment, where computational, experimental, clinical and translational expertise are closely aligned within the SVA program, enabling researchers to work side by side and drive discovery through to translation
The successful applicant will also be part of the Sydney Precision Data Science Centre, the Charles Perkins Centre, and the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney.
