Dr. Moqri’s research group at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is seeking two motivated and talented Postdoctoral Research Fellows interested in the application of AI/ML models for predicting and improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications

The Postdoctoral Research Fellows will develop and lead projects closely aligned with Dr. Moqri’s research program, including:

Development and validation of predictive models for aging-related diseases Development and validation of predictive models for transplant patients

Additionally, the postdoctoral scholars will:

  • Lead preparation of scholarly manuscripts reporting new and ongoing research findings

  • Apply for additional research funding to support long-term research on patient outcomes

  • Contribute as collaborators on other ongoing projects within the group

  • Collaborate on research mentored by Dr. Moqri to design, plan, and execute studies

  • Prepare career-development award applications to support the transition to an independent scientist role

  • Attend one-on-one and small-group meetings to review progress and plan next steps

  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (recently completed or expected to be completed within the next few months)

  • Strong publication record demonstrating expertise in computational or predictive modeling

  • Expertise in programming, particularly in Python

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Strong interest in translational research and improving patient outcomes
