Purpose of the Position:
The STEM Education Program Director will lead the development and operation of a new STEM Education Program. This person will perform research and coordinate internally and externally to conduct the program each academic semester and work closely with IDEAS laboratory and RI management on the program.
Duties/Responsibilities
Lead the development and operation of a new STEM education program
Manage, perform research, and conduct STEM education program outreach to participating schools
Collaborate with IDEAS laboratory and RI management as needed regarding the STEM education program
Engage with UAH facilities and administrative staff to host the program participants on campus each semester
Supervise, guide, and direct student workers
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 0-12 months directly related to full-time work experience
Experience using Microsoft Office products
US Citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications:
Experience engaging with high school students, parents, and teachers
Experience leading an engineering senior design project as a program manager
Experience integrating and testing flight software systems
Published Salary (if available):
$51,304 - $60,000
