The Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL) represents a key collaboration between Alibaba Group and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Supported by the Singapore RIE2025 Fund, ANGEL creates and deploys impactful green digital technologies for global sustainability.

We are looking for a Research Engineer who will conduct cutting-edge research on the evaluation of large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs). These models have demonstrated excellent performance on a large number of language and multimodal tasks. However, objective evaluation that can identify shortcut features and lack of generations remains a challenge. In this project, we aim to build dynamic and adaptive evaluation techniques.
Responsibilites:
Conduct research in the field of neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs).
Critically evaluate existing literature and propose new ideas under supervision
Write papers and present the research work to a wide audience
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and above in computer science, artificial intelligence, or related disciplines
Strong background in Python and PyTorch programming.
Excellent mathematical literacy and familiarity with linear algebra and probability theory.
Curiosity, keen observation, grit, and communication skills.
