Research Engineer

New York University Tandon School of Engineering

Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a part-time Research Engineer to work with Ramesh Karri.

The NYU Tandon School of Engineering Electrical and Computer Engineering Department is highlighting the frontiers of stability and control of robust, sustainable, and smart power grids.

Responsibilities

Candidates will be responsible for:

  • Using prototype research frameworks to model and analyze chiplet interconnects.
  • Model full chiplet systems by implementing digital chip designs and interfacing them with the research framework.
  • Working on publications with other team members
  • Attending regular meetings with PI and providing feedback on the quality and effectiveness of the research frameworks

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least a Master's in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of hands-on computer engineering experience. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.

Required Experience

  • A proven track record in control theory, process documentation, and scientific writing.
  • A proven track record in nanofabrication, process documentation, and scientific writing.
  • A publication record demonstrating hands-on research experience is necessary.

Salary range

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly base salary for this position is $26.37-$34.34 depending on the candidate’s experience and qualification.

Expected start date and period of employment

The anticipated start date is 11/01/26 with an targeted end date of 05/31/2027. This part-time position would require a work schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

Candidates should have at least a Master's in Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of hands-on computer engineering experience. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
