The Research Engineer is responsible for assisting in the development and research of new technologies for the Rice Center for Membrane Excellence This position participates in the planning, design, and execution of research projects; conducts experiments; collects and analyzes data; and contributes to the interpretation and communication of research findings. The Research Engineer maintains accurate research records, prepares technical reports and presentations, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, stays current on relevant technological advancements, and adheres to established safety and regulatory requirements in support of ongoing research initiatives.

Workplace Location:
This position is offered as a hybrid role, combining both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range: $63,731 – $80,000 annually
*Exempt (salaried) positions under FLSA are not eligible for overtime.
