In this role, you will help shape the next generation of power devices by leading their definition, design, and release to production. Job Location:

Vishay Semiconductor Italiana S.p.A., based in Borgaro Torinese, is a key site for the design, development, and production of power diodes and power modules. With around 300 employees and continued expansion plans, our site offers the energy of a growing organization together with the stability of a global technology leader.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the design and industrialization of new power devices aligned with market and customer needs.
  • Drive cross-functional and international collaboration to support successful new product releases.
  • Coordinate problem-solving activities and contribute to effective technical decision-making.
  • Define and approve specifications for strategic materials critical to product performance and reliability.
  • Develop new concepts and innovative solutions for future product generations, including support through TCAD simulations.
  • Work closely with teams across Operations, Quality, Marketing, Application Engineering, Product Management, Controlling, and Purchasing, gaining broad exposure to how semiconductor products are developed, manufactured, and brought to market.

What you will bring along:

  • Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry; experience with Silicon Carbide power devices is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of power semiconductor physics.
  • Solid knowledge of statistical data analysis.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of finite element process and device simulation is preferred.
  • Understanding of power device applications is preferred.
  • A structured and proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and take ownership of results.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel when needed.
  • Experience in project management, including tools and methods such as Gantt charts, risk assessment, FMEA, product cost analysis, and communication with different audiences, is considered a plus.
