IntroductionThe Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:monitor the data collection process in the field, evaluating and ensuring the accuracy of the datacoordinate with the project supervisors to discuss field related activitiesprovide training to the staff as per the protocols and guidelines of studyoversee the project, simultaneously, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research related activities ensure all research related auditable materials are always up to date conducting In depth interviews and FGDs monitor all components of the project in the field, evaluating, and ensuring the accuracy of the datatranslate and transcript of data from Urdu to English monitor data collection procedures to ensure adherence to established protocols and standardsconduct quality control checks on collected data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistencygenerate reports from Redcap applications and maintain accurate and up-to-date data collection reportsanalyze raw data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and key findingsprovide training and facilitate refresher sessions for field staff on data collection procedures, quality standards, and relevant tools.
RequirementYou should have:at least Bachelor’ s degree or candidate having master’s degree will be preferredbasic Knowledge of survey and other research designsdata collection, analysis and interpretation in terms of report writing and biostatics strong interpersonal skills and communicationintegrity and strong research ethicscomfort with working in challenging field-based settingsstrong people management skills, particularly in challenging field environment.
