Introduction
The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

Responsibilities
you will be responsible to:
- conduct educational and functional assessments to identify children's learning strengths, challenges, and educational needs
- develop and implement individualized remedial education plans based on each child's developmental and learning goals
- provide one-on-one and small-group remedial teaching sessions using evidence-based instructional strategies
- adapt teaching methods, learning materials, and classroom activities according to each child's cognitive, behavioral, sensory, and communication abilities
- support the development of literacy, numeracy, attention, memory, executive functioning, and study skills
- monitor, document, and evaluate each child's progress, maintaining accurate clinical and educational records
- participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to integrated rehabilitation care plans alongside occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physiotherapists, psychologists, developmental pediatricians, and behavioral therapists
- educate and counsel parents on home-based learning strategies to reinforce therapeutic and educational goals
- liaise with schools, teachers, and educational institutions to recommend appropriate classroom accommodations, individualized education plans (IEPs), and inclusive educational practices
- prepare educational reports, progress summaries, and recommendations for schools and referring clinicians
- participate in case conferences, departmental quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing professional development activities
- ensure compliance with institutional policies, child safeguarding standards, and confidentiality requirements
