The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Job Role / Responsibilities

• Manage research project activities in line with PI guidelines

• Develop training material and conduct staff training on data collection and interviewing techniques

• Manage fieldwork operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with protocols

• Conduct interviews and observational visits, ensuring accurate documentation

• Liaise with administrative teams for field logistics and coordination

• Visit field sites for monitoring, audits, and quality assurance

• Support participants during home visits, including guidance on study interventions

• Facilitate team meetings and coordinate with junior research staff

• Ensure implementation of SOPs and adherence to project timelines

• Monitor study dashboards and ensure timely completion of visits

• Review data quality, completeness, and reporting

• Prepare weekly and final research reports

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• MBBS/BS/MSc Psychology, MPH/MSc Epidemiology/Biostatistics, or relevant field

• 2–3 years of experience in community-based research projects

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good writing and documentation skills

• Basic knowledge of surveys and research methodologies

• Experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Willingness to work in field settings.
