Essential Functions

  • Support new product development and testing required in a manner compliant with the ISO13485 quality management system.
  • Perform bioassays following established protocols.
  • Develop new bioassay and contribute to optimization and validation of new bioassays.
  • Maintain cell lines using sterile cell culture technique and isolate primary cells.
  • Collaborate with other product development Research Associates and Scientists to provide project updates, to establish project timelines and to assist completion of product development documentation.
  • Perform data analysis and keep good records and documentation.
  • Prioritize daily tasks to keep organized with attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple work streams.
  • Perform lab tasks, maintain equipment and laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean laboratory.
  • Support laboratory personnel training as needed

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience or other related field
  • Minimal of two years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Proficiency in tissues culture of mammalian cell lines
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment and knowledge of lab safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Outstanding organization and communication
  • Highly motivated and a good team player
  • Experience in primary cell cultures
  • Two years of experience in performing bioassay
  • Working experience in a manufacturing or product development setting in compliance with ISO9001/ISO14835 standards would be a plus.
