Help advance the next generation of cancer treatments! The Hossain Laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Associate to play an important role in developing novel immunotherapies against solid cancers.
Working under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Associate will help design and perform experiments, monitor project progress, and collect, analyze, and summarize research data.
The role includes planning and conducting routine molecular studies, including RNA and protein isolation, gene and protein expression studies, cell sorting, microscopy, flow cytometry, and cell isolation. The Research Associate will also perform routine cell and tissue culture, conduct lentiviral transductions, and evaluate the in vitro efficacy of immunotherapies against various solid cancer cells.
Additional research activities include performing surgical procedures to establish in vivo tumor models and studying the effects of immunotherapies on tumor growth in vivo. The Research Associate will participate in publishing research findings and contribute to preparing grant proposals for funding agencies.
