About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with cell biology, assay development and screening experience to join our growing Biology team. The successful candidate is curious, self-driven and looking to expand their existing proficiencies in cell biology, assay development and screening to contribute to drug discovery programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine mammalian cell culture and maintain mammalian cell lines.
  • Execute routine cell-based assays to support early-stage drug discovery programs.
  • Under the guidance of the manager, assist with the development and optimization of new cell-based assays for screening.
  • Generate, analyze, document, and upload experimental data to company databases in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with established laboratory practices, SOPs, and company policies, including both wet lab and electronic data management requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, Cell Biology, or a related life sciences discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year of biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Experience working with 384-well plate-based assay formats.
  • Experience performing routine mammalian cell culture techniques.
  • Experience with plate-based in vitro assays, including one or more of the following technologies: HTRF, luminescence, BRET, or Alpha assays.
  • Experience executing cell-based assays, including assay optimization and routine screening campaigns.
  • Basic understanding of early-stage drug discovery processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with laboratory automation and/or semi-automated assay workflows
  • Experience in small molecule drug discovery
