The Department of Medicine at The Aga Khan University Hospital comprises independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases. The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the Nephrology Section, Department of Medicine. Job Role / Responsibilities:You will be required to:assist in overall research program implementation within the Nephrology Sectionconduct literature reviews and support scientific research activitiesassist in writing study protocols, grant proposals, and ERC applicationscollect data using qualitative (e.g., interviews, focus groups) and quantitative (e.g., surveys) methodsperform data entry, cleaning, management, and statistical analysisensure data quality control and maintain accurate study recordssupport the development and implementation of research toolsassist in manuscript writing, abstracts, and reports for publications and presentationscoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for research activitiesprepare and present periodic progress reportsensure timely submission of research documentationundertake any other tasks assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have:a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS/MD) from a reputable institution1–2 years of relevant research experienceproficiency in research and data analysis tools (e.g., MS Office, SPSS, REDCap, EndNote)strong writing, analytical, and problem-solving skillsexcellent communication and interpersonal skillsability to work effectively in a team environmentstrong organizational skills and attention to detailComprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
