The CETE will work with AKDN partners (including the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat), global academic and response institutions, governments, private sector and funding agencies to strengthen day-to-day trauma and emergency systems as well as disaster preparedness and response in low and lower middle income countries, especially those where AKU and AKDN is active.This is a grant-funded contractual position.Responsibilities:You will be responsible to:recruit study participants from three assigned hospital sitesconduct follow-up visits at patients’ homes and remain flexible to work in shift hoursobtain informed consent in accordance with study protocolsguide, teach, and coach study participants throughout the study periodcoordinate with clinical teams and site staff for smooth study operationsperform accurate and timely REDCap data entry and maintain study recordsensure data quality, completeness, and confidentiality in line with ethical guidelinesconnect the intervention study group with T-CHWs and facilitate coordination assist in monitoring participant adherence and study progresssupport day-to-day project-related activities, including reporting and documentation.
Requirements:You should have:a bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology or social science from a reputable instituteat least one year of relevant experience, preferably in community settings, hospitals, or research facilities, with a proven track record in data collectionexcellent interpersonal and communication skillsability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectivelyability to work effectively in teams and resilience to cope with work pressureexperience engaging with multiple stakeholders, including laypersons, healthcare workers and policy makers.Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
