A Research Associate position is available for a qualified individual to join a biomedical research laboratory focused on the development of vaccines against parasitic diseases.
Essential Functions
- A Research Associate position is available for a qualified individual to join a biomedical research laboratory focused on the development of vaccines against parasitic diseases.
- The RA will work under the supervision of senior research personnel on mRNA/LNP vaccine production and the evaluation of vaccine immunogenicity in mice.
- The RA will work closely with graduate research assistants to ensure timely evaluation of both T and B cell responses elicited by various vaccine formulations, including in vitro studies of parasite neutralization. The research associate will also assist in managing laboratory supplies, maintaining approval of IACUC and Biosafety protocols and monitoring laboratory compliance with the Drexel Environment Health and Safety program.
- Excellent organizational skills are required. Excellent record keeping skills are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or related or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience.
- Preference will be given to individuals with research experience working with small animal models.

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade I Compensation for this grade ranges from $45,330 to $68,000 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position will vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
