The School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) at NTU is dedicated to high-impact scientific research and technological innovation in optics, physics, and advanced instrumentation.
We are seeking a motivated Project Officer / Research Assistant to join our group focusing on structured light and optical manipulation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct numerical simulations (COMSOL, FDTD, Matlab) of optical forces and particle dynamics under structured light.
Setup and run optical tweezers experiments to verify theoretical models.
Analyze research data and assist in preparing scientific publications.
Assist with general laboratory management and administrative tasks.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, Precision Instrumentation, or related fields.
Experience in optical tweezers setups or numerical wave-optical/electromagnetic simulations.
Proficient in tools such as Matlab, COMSOL, FDTD Lumerical, or Python.
Good communication and writing skills.
