The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) is seeking a full-time research assistant to work with scholars in its Social, Cultural, and Constitutional Studies department who specialize in literature, politics, and American culture.
Responsibilities for this position include assisting with research, writing, and editing for books, articles, op-eds, and media appearances. Other duties include supporting the production of a bimonthly podcast, planning and executing public and private events, managing media requests, and other administrative tasks.
Desired skills for this position include excellent research, writing, and organizational skills. Knowledge of current events, politics, and cultural trends is also important. A bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, history, political science, or a related field is required.

Compensation is based on a number of factors, including the position’s scope and responsibilities; a candidate’s full-time, applicable work experience; key skills and qualifications; and internal and external market considerations. The salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $50,000–$54,000. Salary is just one component of AEI’s total compensation package for employees.
