Research Assistant Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 536323)

Duties and Responsibilities
- To lead highly innovative research projects in DNA nanotechnology, biomedical materials science, synthetic biology and related areas.
- To build global interdisciplinary collaborations in related research areas with biomedical impact.
- To secure external competitive grants.
- To supervise and co-supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- To be actively involved in innovative teaching in biomedical sciences and biomedical engineering.
- To perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Ph.D. degree, preferably in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, materials science, or related fields.
- At least 2–3 years of postdoctoral research experience is preferred.
- Strong background in DNA nanotechnology and interdisciplinary research.
- Strong track record of high-quality research, demonstrated by publications and successful grant applications.
- Experience in mentoring and teaching.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- A high sense of responsibility and research integrity, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure.
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, with the possibility of renewal up to 3 years subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
