Job Description

A postdoctoral position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor is available starting September 15, 2017 in Dr. Fox’s research group in the Department of Chemistry at American University in Washington, D.C. The qualified candidate will work predominantly at the NIST in Gaithersburg, MD on the flammability of coated wood and plastic-wood composites. The appointment will be September 15, 2017 through August 14, 2018.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with prior experience in fire science or colloidal chemistry.

Applicants must have a PhD in chemistry, engineering or a related field and be qualified to work at a national laboratory. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in fire science or colloidal chemistry.
